This is an introductory level workshop for anyone interested in pigs or contemplating going in to pastured pork production.  Lee McCosker will spend the day with you discussing everything you need to know about keeping pigs outdoors.

DONT FORGET, THERE IS AN OPTION TO ATTEND THE 2 DAY COURSE THIS SAME WEEKEND.  Just look under Events.

The workshop has a structured program covering legal requirements, dealing with council and approvals, setting up the farm, all abut breeds, pig nutrition and how to produce the best pastured pork profitably. There will be plenty of opportunity for  questions and a tour of the pig operation at The Farm tour to discuss issues such as fencing, water, housing, feeding, farrowing, land management and much more.

Morning tea and lunch are also included. (let us know of any special dietary requirements well before the event)

A workshop textbook will be provided say you won’t forget any of the important issues addressed on the day.
